101TBDGC: 101.6mm Double Glazed Thermal Break Centre Glazed Framing
Envirotech Façade Solutions has started its design process with a blank sheet. Instead of short cutting the process and taking the traditional shopfront suites of the 1960’s as most others have, EFS has designed a range of commercial suites to suit todays’ requirements, codes and architectural trends.
The 101TBDGC system is a 101.6mm (4″) x 60mm double glazed thermal break centre glazed system, designed to be used in most commercial and semi commercial applications. This suite also caters nicely for those looking for a more robust, cleaner looking design option for up-market housing applications.
The system has a glazing pocket opening width of 39mm, which allows the use of glass up to 35mm thick while still providing a glass cover of 12mm ensuring compliance to the latest Australian Glazing Standard AS1288. These design features translate to designers and fabricators having the ability to glaze thicker and therefore larger pieces of energy efficient glass than many of the other suites currently on offer to the market.
The revised design has a self-mating mullion which facilitates multiple frame assemblies without compromising expansion allowances. This mullion design will still allow glass edge clearance, significantly reducing the risk of scratching the frame or damaging the glass during glass installation.
From a performance perspective these features mean that designers need not compromise their designs in order to achieve performance requirements for thermal, acoustic, structural and water ratings.
The EFS 101TBDGC system is complimented by its ability to seamlessly integrate with our awning-casement window systems, sliding door system to name just a few.
