Envirotech Façade Solutions has started our design process with a blank sheet. Instead of short cutting the process and utilising the traditional shopfront suites of the 1960’s, EFS has instead designed a range of commercial suites to suit todays’ requirements, standards, codes and architectural trends.
The 150DGR system is a 150mm x 60mm double glazed rear glazed system designed to be used in most commercial and semi commercial applications.
The system has a glazing pocket opening width of 35mm, which allows for the use of glass up to 29mm thick while still providing a minimum glass cover of 12mm ensuring compliance to AS/NZS4666. These design features translate to designers and fabricators having the ability to glaze thicker and therefore larger pieces of energy efficient glass than many of the other suites currently on offer to the market.
This new design has male and female mullion with a minimum rebate depth of 18mm, which allows for a glass edge clearance of at least 6mm, significantly reducing the risk of scratching the frame or damaging glass edges during glass installation.
From a performance perspective, these features mean that designers need not compromise their designs in order to achieve performance requirements for thermal, acoustic, structural and water ratings.
