101BRMF: VISTAFOLD Single & Double Glazed Bottom Rolling Multi-fold Door

Envirotech Façade Solutions has started our design process with a blank sheet. Instead of short cutting the process and utilising the traditional top hung, to rolling bi-fold systems currently on the market, EFS has instead designed a high performance commercial multi-folding door to suit todays’ requirements, standards, codes and architectural trends.

In conjunction with Hillaldam Access Systems EFS has developed what is the most advanced, highest performing and flexible multi-fold door system available in the market today.

This system has the ability to accommodate 75kg sash weights translate to designers and fabricators being able to glaze thicker and therefore larger pieces of glass than many of the other suites currently on offer to the market.

From a performance perspective, these features mean that designers need not compromise their designs in order to achieve performance requirements for thermal, acoustic, structural and water ratings.

The EFS 101BRMF VISTAFOLD suite is complimented by its ability to seamlessly integrate with our framing systems allowing for highlights and side lights. This system also suits almost all locking hardware on the market in Australia currently.

Specification

Bi-fold door to be manufactured using EFS (Envirotech Facades Solutions) ‘101BRMF’ VISTAFOLD System.
Multi-fold hardware to be EFS “Hillaldam” VISTAFOLD.
Sash sizes to be limited to a 3:1 height to width ratio. Maximum sash height to be no greater than 2700mm.
Windows in buildings – Selection & Installation is to comply with AS2047 and shall be rated in accordance with the appropriate test in AS4420.
Building Façade performance specifications - refer to AS/NZS4284.
Frame & mullion strengths to comply to the certifying engineers computations.
Glass to be selected, glazed and installed to ensure compliance with AS1288.
Glass performance to be determined by Section J of the BCA, WERS, or as specified.

Removes the need for bulky and unsightly overhead structural supports as required for top hung systems
Allows for full use of opening, i.e. heights not compromised by the need for overhead structural members

Ability to manufacture with Centre Glazed or Flush Glazed high lights and side lights

AS2047 tested to 700pa for water enabling compliance in most high-rise applications
